SKINMED® TRIPLELOCK® ANTI-AGEING PROTOCOL

A unique protocol only available in selected private aesthetic clinics.
Medically licensed used for all aspects of aged skin.
Tightens, firms, plumps, reduces depth and length of lines and wrinkles, targets sagging and loose skin around the mouth, eyes, neck and cheeks.
Medically licensed for addressing hydration of the dermis through enhancing skin production of hyaluronic acid, improving epidermal lipid density and TEWL control and last but not least, optimising moisture levels of the skin surface.
Used for dry skin, oily skin, flaky skin, reactive skin , irritated skin, eczema prone skin, psoriasis prone skin, thickened keratinised skin, aged tired skin, loose skin, dull skin.

Understanding the Problem

Healthy, hydrated skin with good internal moisture control shouldn’t need moisturisers. Those who suffer from dry or oily skin need to address Trans-Epidermal Water loss (TEWL); some water loss is normal but excessive in people who suffer from acne, eczema, psoriasis, ichthyosis or aged, UV damaged skin

The Science and the Solution

Dry skin is complex and difficult to treat because you must address both oil dryness and moisture dryness; both conditions present similar symptoms at a cellular level but have treatment requirements. Our all-encompassing protocol hydrates the skin at all levels to slow TEWL and restore a healthy, hydrated skin environment

Hydration and Other Skin Conditions

Impaired moisture control is often a key underpinning factor for a variety of skin conditions including acne, rosacea, pigmentation, Psoriasis, reactive and hypersensitive skin and eczema. It can also exacerbate skin ageing, making water control management vital to maintaining a healthy skin environment, and vital for each of our treatment protocols

The SkinMed® TripleLock® approach

SkinMed® TripleLock® on Hydration is based on the principles of changing skin water dynamics at the surface, optimising dermal moisture and managing epidermal TEWL. The SkinMed® Tebiskin® and SkinVital® products combined with SkinMed® EnerPeel® MA and SkinMed® Derma FNS® treatments for the unique SkinMed® Protocols to address hydration issues at every level of the skin.

SKINMED® ENERPEEL® MANDELIC ACID (MA)

SkinMed® EnerPeel® Mandelic Acid (MA)

SkinMed® EnerPeel® Mandelic Acid (MA) utilises a patented carrier technology, to transport 40% Mandelic Acid (20% active and 20% inactive, which releases Mandelic acid once in the skin) plus 5% MSM. This combination of ingredients combined in the unique patented carrier solution to treat vascular rosacea and telangiectasia, and are medically licensed for these indications in conjunction with the SkinMed® TripleLock® Products used between treatments to effectively gain control of rosacea in over 80% of users.

SkinMed EnerPeel® MA can also be used for pigmentation and anti-ageing in darker skins at risk of inflammatory pigmentation especially those in darker ethnic groups (acceptable risk) and is widely used by all skin types as a Summer peel, lunchtime peel and weekend peel.

Indications

EnerPeel® Mandelic Acid (MA) is the number one chemical peel used in the Indian subcontinent as an anti-ageing chemical peel. Often used with EnerPeel® Salicylic acid (SA) on top for oily, darker skin types.

The science

Mandelic Acid is an alpha hydroxy acid that has a number of chemical properties apart from acting as an exfoliating solution that does not trigger erythema. Its ability to help control rosacea has been shown, making it ideal for those prone to reddening.

It is known to be antibacterial and antiviral, and also helps to encourage vascular integrity, having a vaso constrictive action while accelerating vascular remodelling and regeneration while suppressing reddening skin chemical reactions.

EnerPeel®: Patented Carrier Technology

SkinMed® Anti-ageing EnerPeel® uses a patented carrier solution which restrains the activity of the acid until it is absorbed. This is not buffering the acid and thereby reducing its activity; it is restraining it and then releasing it to accelerate through the skin. SkinMed® EnerPeel®s carrier system enhances its activity for uniform and enhanced absorption of the active ingredients; with two to three times improved skin penetration.

The Result

The patented Enerpeel® technology transports microencapsulated active mandelic acid and inactive mandelate into the skin. Deep in the skin, the mandelate converts to mandelic acid, which has a vasoconstrictive effect, helping partially damaged blood vessels to function better and contract, making them less visible. A sequence of four to six MA treatments at two-week intervals, in combination with the Rosacea TripleLock® regimen, established rosacea control, providing long-term relief from symptoms.

Rosacea TripleLock® Products to be used with Enerpeel® MA

Using the SkinMed® EnerPeel® MA

Application details

EnerPeel® MA is a peel that exfoliates but with minimal or no erythema. Can be left on for 2-10 minutes (depending on number of previous peels and patient reaction) and neutralised but for greater remodeling impact, leave in the skin, remove surface residue with water, apply UV to client and send home with a precautionary neutraliser wipe to be used if skin becomes uncomfortable (remove UV before using neutraliser).

The EnerPeel® MA can be used for inflammatory pigmentation treatment and also non-inflammatory pigmentation treatment where there is a concern of using EnerPeel® TCA or EnerPeel® JR.

Fantastic option as an all year round EnerPeel® MA to make the skin glow while also leaving it refreshed and rejuvenated.

Also used in the summer for those who may be concerned of higher sensitivity to UV from other peels.

Tebiskin® Hyal

Skin ageing, antioxidant, hyaluronic acid biosynthesis stimulator

Hyaluronic Acid has a wide range of functions, due to its ability to bind large amounts of moisture in the skin, providing a reservoir of water for skin cell health.

Tebiskin® Hyal is an innovative cream that controls the level and quality of the skin’s Hyaluronic Acid; the antioxidant action slows down the breakdown of Hyaluronic Acid, while also increasing its rate of production. This combines intense moisturising action with a positive anti-ageing effect to maintain a smooth, healthy skin environment while combatting dehydration and loss of elasticity.

“I have been using Skin Med products since March 2016, my skin has had the most wonderful treatment starting with the ‘ 3 Wise Men’ of this high-quality range, Tebiskin® EGF, Tebiskin® Hyal and Enerpeel®. Family and friends have noticed the marked improvement in my skin and for me, it has knocked years off looking at pre/post photos.”

Carol Ann Crispin-Chavez, Medsthetics Ltd

“I had a bowel resection on the 11th April 2016 leaving a large vertical scar through the centre of my stomach and two small incisions through which cameras were passed. As a cynical aesthetician I decided to use Tebiskin® Hyal and Tebiskin® EGF on the largest scar, and an over the counter well-known brand on one small incision and used the other as a control and left it to heal without treatment. Within six weeks the large scar, which was stapled, is now a thin white line, the small scar which as treated with over the counter remedy is still bright red and the untreated control scar is pink. Without a doubt, the Tebiskin® Hyal and Tebiskin® EGF have made a dramatic difference to the natural healing ability. I am also using both creams on my face, as surgery caused considerable weight loss and lack of nutrition which had a dramatic effect on my skin. So far, I am receiving daily comments on how well I look. I will definitely continue using both these creams on my face. It is cheaper than filler!”

To claim that a product is vegan-friendly is difficult for all cosmetics producing companies, we can say, however:

Tebiskin® Ceraboost

A balanced blend of skin ceramides and ceramide releasing agents

Tebiskin® Cera-Boost Face Cream is based on a functional, balanced blend of all 9 key natural Ceramides, Cholesterol, Palmitic Acid, and Fatty Acids in the necessary ratio to improve and restore the barrier function of the skin.

Its effective emollient, nutrient-rich, hydrating action is delivered on multiple levels for plumper, smoother, firmer feeling skin, with the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles visibly reduced.

As a result of hormonal sensitization, the level of natural oils and lipids in the skin reduces, causing an unhealthy increase in skin water loss, exacerbating the symptoms of acne. Repairing the skin’s barrier function restores skin moisture control, combatting the hormonal loss of lipids.

“I have suffered from eczema all of my life and have always struggled to find creams that are rich enough to nourish and soft enough to not aggravate my incredibly dry and sensitive skin and cause flare-ups. My eczema is diagnosed as chronic and is incredibly debilitating. I have also recently been diagnosed with urticaria. As the main trigger for my condition is environmental, I am sadly never likely to be able to cure the condition or find anything that will completely manage the affliction…SkinMed, knowing the condition of my skin, have recommended I try the clinical strength Tebiskin® Cera-Boost, which I almost reluctantly tried; I am ever cautious of trying new things due to the sensitivity and chronic condition, for fear of a reaction. I am ever grateful for the recommendation as the Tebiskin has worked brilliantly alongside the Nutritime to calm my skin and manage my frequent flare-ups.”

Ghemma Rhodes

“I have been trialling the Tebiskin Ceraboost for my work The Cosmetic Clinic King’s Lynn, I had eczema on my hands and finger tips which were cracked, bleeding and very sore! After 2 years of different prescribed steroid creams and moisturisers with no luck i felt like nothing could clear it.
I started the ceraboost and noticed a difference within a day! I’ve now been using it around 4-5 weeks and it has completly cleared my eczema! I’m very happy with this product.”

Eloise Macduff, The Cosmetic Clinic

“I have finally come to the end of the bottle of Cera Boost (Tebiskin skin) cream you gave me to try and knew you wanted some feed back in it.

I use this at night time after I have applied my prescribed Epiduo cream. I really like it as I feel it definitely replaces any moisture I have lost from my skin, particularly around my mouth and nose area. It also feels non greasy which is also a bonus, as I can layer it up and get the moisture my skin needs without feeling just pasted in creams. This also means that the following day, j don’t have to use anywhere near as much moisturiser as I used to – therefore it all lasts longer and I don’t end up feeling shiny faced with my make up on, later in the day.

I hope this is useful in some way. I wanted to make sure if I finished it before getting back to you. Either way, I have found the balance of all the right products now I think. Particularly the tebi skin range- especially the sooth clean face wash!”
